About me

I almost didn't make it. That's why I'm here.

This is not a polished story. It's a true one.

Founder of Your Gift of Life Foundation

There were nights I didn't think I would see the morning. Nights when the weight of everything — the pain, the silence, the feeling that no one could possibly understand — felt like it would swallow me whole. I know what it means to stand at the edge of your own life and wonder if it's worth continuing.

I lived with mental health challenges for years before I found the courage to name them. Suicidal ideations were something I carried in secret, convinced that speaking them out loud would make me a burden, a problem, something to be fixed. I was wrong. Speaking them out loud — finally, to someone who listened — was the first step toward survival.

The road back was not straight. It was not clean. It was full of setbacks and grief and the slow, hard work of learning to want to live again. But I did the work. And somewhere in that process, I found my purpose: to be the voice I needed when I was in the dark.

Your Gift of Life Foundation was born from that purpose. It is my testimony, my advocacy, and my commitment to every person who is fighting the same battle I fought. You are not alone. Your story is not over. And your life — your gift of life — matters more than you know.

I share my story not because it is easy, but because someone needs to hear it. Maybe that someone is you.

What drives this work

Advocacy built on truth

Radical honesty

No sugarcoating. No clinical distance. Real talk about what mental illness actually feels like from the inside.

Lived experience

This work comes from having been there — not from a textbook, but from the trenches of personal survival.

Unwavering hope

Even in the darkest moments, I believe recovery is possible. I am living proof. And I will keep saying so.

Community over isolation

Mental health struggles thrive in silence. We break that silence together — through story, connection, and showing up for one another.
